A wall coat rack is one of the most popular items in the household and is found in a variety of room within the home. These quality wall mounted coat racks will look great in any room, whether you hang your coats in the hallway, your bedroom or bedroom closet, or perhaps you have a separate mudroom.

The advantages to using a wall mount rack rather than the free standing coat rack is that it is much sturdy and won't fall over if overloaded with heavy coats or jackets. The problem with the free standing option is that it has to stay balanced at all times, otherwise it will fall over if all the coats are hooked onto one side. This could be dangerous to young children and to pets.

The wall coat racks are very easy to attach to the wall and do not take long at all to install. They come with all the required screws and wall plugs as well as installation instructions. They only take about 15 minutes to install and you are ready to go. A good tip is to install the rack behind a door if you do not want to have all the coats on show in the hallway.

They come in a variety of lengths, sizes and materials - enough out there for you to choose the right one that will match your home decor. Choose wood if you are looking for a classic look that matches other wooden items within your home. They are also a lot lighter and so will not contribute to the weight of the coats.

For a more modern or contemporary look, go for the aluminium or wrought iron materials. There are a variety of styles to choose from that gives that arty look to your hallway. Essentially turning a boring old coat rack into a more modern piece of art to showcase in the hallway or bedroom.

Probably the most important feature to keep in mind when choosing the correct wall coat rack is the amount of hooks available for you to hang up all your coats. A good feature is to look at purchasing a rack that provides double or triple hooks as you can hang up to three different garments on each hook set. With up to six hooks on a rack you are looking at the capacity to hang up to 18 jackets, jerseys, hats, umbrellas, or whatever you like.

Remember that is you do decide to hang a large amount of jackets or coats on the coat rack, make sure that the wall can handle the weight as the coats and jackets and be heavy.
